The Coast Guard officials declared that the parents of the 7-year-old boy from Jackson County could be sentenced with criminal penalties after their kid placed two hoax distress calls.
The Coast Guard declared that the boy confessed those who was investigating him that he made the calls over a marine radio while his father was in the kitchen.The child screamed that he was drowning in the first call and that his boat was sinking in the second call.
The Coast Guard spokes man David Marin declared that the Coast Guard realised they were fake calls because of the new technology the Coast Guard use,that can detect the place from the call is made.
He also declared that the parents could have serious problems due to their children's calls,the law being very severe in this type of infractions.

The U.S. Coast Guard says four men made it safely to shore after their boat started taking on water off Cannon Beach.
Petty Officer Third Class Tara Molle said the Coast Guard Group Astoria received an SOS call Sunday morning from the 22-foot dory.
The Coast Guard had sent a helicopter and two boats to help.
When the helicopter arrived, one man was on the beach and two were almost there. The helicopter had a rescue swimmer to assist the last man.
All four men declined medical attention. The Coast Guard praised them for wearing life jackets.

Authorities say two Culver High School students died when their car left a bridge and jumped in an irrigation canal.

A newborn girl, healthy has been taken into protective custody after a man discovered her in a field Sunday.
A Portland Police Bureau spokesman said the man entered the field after his dogs wouldn't stop barking and he heard what he thought might be a kitten.
He contacted the police and officers patrolling nearby found the 29-year-old woman who had just given birth. She has not been charged with a crime, but the investigation remains active.
To prevent unwanted newborns from being abandoned or killed, Oregon passed the "Safe Place for Newborns" law in 2001. The law allows a parent to leave an infant that is 30 days old or younger with an employee of a medical facility or law-enforcement agency - no questions asked unless there are signs of abuse. More…
