Washington's unemployment rate has increased to about 3.8 percent this month,being the third increase in the last four months.
The County's Employment Department declares that the rate of unemployment increased in June, up from May's revised unemployment rate of 3.4 percent.
June's unemployment registered a significant increase since the last year's rate of 3.1 percent, but the officials declare that the unemployment rate it's on pace with the US rate of 5.7 percent. Not less than 212,000 people are seeking for a job in Oregon.
The biggest job demand growth in June was in administrative domain, with 800 new jobs, followed by the commercial and industrial sectors, each of them with 600 new jobs. The biggest decrease were in financial industry and in housing and construction services, each down 200 jobs.

The U.S. Coast Guard says four men made it safely to shore after their boat started taking on water off Cannon Beach.
Petty Officer Third Class Tara Molle said the Coast Guard Group Astoria received an SOS call Sunday morning from the 22-foot dory.
The Coast Guard had sent a helicopter and two boats to help.
When the helicopter arrived, one man was on the beach and two were almost there. The helicopter had a rescue swimmer to assist the last man.
All four men declined medical attention. The Coast Guard praised them for wearing life jackets.

Authorities say two Culver High School students died when their car left a bridge and jumped in an irrigation canal.
kacey Montoya - The Jefferson County Sheriff's Office said the crash happened either late Saturday or early Sunday, and Jake McDonald and Justine Parker both died at the scene in Central Oregon.

A newborn girl, healthy has been taken into protective custody after a man discovered her in a field Sunday.
A Portland Police Bureau spokesman said the man entered the field after his dogs wouldn't stop barking and he heard what he thought might be a kitten.
He contacted the police and officers patrolling nearby found the 29-year-old woman who had just given birth. She has not been charged with a crime, but the investigation remains active.
To prevent unwanted newborns from being abandoned or killed, Oregon passed the "Safe Place for Newborns" law in 2001. The law allows a parent to leave an infant that is 30 days old or younger with an employee of a medical facility or law-enforcement agency - no questions asked unless there are signs of abuse. More…
